Presentation Guidelines

The DICTA 2021 Organising Committee has decided that the conference will be offered in a hybrid mode. A tentative technical program including both the main conference and three workshops have been announced on the DICTA 2021 website: http://dicta2021.dictaconference.org/full_program.html.

The technical program of the main conference includes 4 keynote talks, 8 oral sessions and 4 poster sessions to be held at Hilton Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast. Presenters have the option to deliver their talks in-person at the conference venue if travel is allowed or online virtually. All technical sessions will be live-streamed using Zoom. The detailed instruction on connection and presentation will be announced soon when the setup is finalised. The workshops will be held at the Gold Coast Campus of Griffith University and are free to all registered attendees. Online access will be provided for attendees who cannot attend in-person.

Here is the general guideline on how to prepare the presentations.

All oral presentations will be given 15 minutes, including the time for Q&A. The papers in Oral Session 1 are award candidates and are given 20 minutes each. We expect all the oral papers to be presented live by one of the authors. In case it is difficult for the authors to give a live talk, please contact the organising committee ASAP for an alternative arrangement, for example, changing to a pre-recorded talk.

All papers arranged for poster presentations are invited to give a spotlight presentation. Presenters shall upload a 3 minute pre-recorded video into the CMT system as supplementary material by 17 November 2021. The video shall be in .mp4 format with a size limit of 350MB. The videos will be compiled and played in the Poster Short Presentation sessions, followed by Q&A sessions so the presenters can interact live with delegates. In the Q&A Session, the papers will be split into 4 rooms. Details will be provided later. All videos will be displayed on the conference website during the conference period.

All authors are offered an opportunity for complimentary poster presentation at the conference venue. A dedicated poster room will be used to display the posters for each day of the program. If you choose to take this option, please print a portrait poster in A0 size (841mm * 1188mm), and bring it to the conference venue or mail it to the following address by 22 November:
Alan Wee-Chung Liew, School of Information and Communication Technology, Room 2.12, Multimedia (G23), Griffith University, Parklands Drive, Southport QLD 4222.
